Private and small-group tennis lessons for San Ramon high school players ages 14 and up and adult beginners through the 3.0 level. I can come to your court in San Ramon, or you can meet me at my courts in neighboring Danville.

Coaching That Comes to You

If you have a court you like in San Ramon, at a neighborhood park, your HOA, or your club, I’m happy to teach there so you practice on the same court you play on. If you’d rather, my courts in Danville are just up the road.

What a Lesson Looks Like

We start by rallying so I can see your game. Then we pick the one or two changes that will make the biggest difference and work on them with plenty of repetition and game-based drills. I film key moments so you can see what’s happening instead of just hearing about it, and you leave with a clear idea of what to practice before next time.

Lessons for Doubles Players

If you mostly play doubles, a small group of 2 to 6 players can work on positioning, communication, and the patterns that win doubles points. Bring your partner, your league teammates, or a few friends at the same level.

And after just two month of lessons with Coach Mike, I can honestly say I’ve improved more than I expected in such a short amount of time.

What I really like about him is that he pays close attention to how you play and can quickly spot the little things that are holding you back. His feedback is always clear and practical, and when I actually apply what he tells me, I can immediately feel the difference in my game.

What especially stands out is how much attention he pays to my progress outside of lessons as well. He’s willing to watch videos of me practicing on my own, give me feedback, and then follow up on what he noticed during our next lesson with specific drills and corrections.
