Tennis Lessons in Alamo, CA
Private and small-group tennis lessons for Alamo players: high school players ages 14 and up and adult beginners through the 3.0 level. I can come to your court in Alamo, or we can meet at my courts in Danville, just south of Alamo.
On Your Court or Mine
If you have a home court, a club, or an HOA court in Alamo, I can teach there. Otherwise, my courts in Danville are a short drive away.
Fundamentals First, Then Strategy
I start by building technique you can rely on, then teach you how to use it in points: where to hit the ball and why, when to come forward, and how to recover so you’re ready for the next shot. The goal is a game that holds up when the score matters.
Learn Faster with Video
Most players improve faster when they can see their own swing. I film during lessons, show you the one thing that matters most, and compare new clips with old ones so you can see your progress.

I’ve been playing tennis on and off since high school, but there were definitely many years when I barely played at all. And after just two month of lessons with Coach Mike, I can honestly say I’ve improved more than I expected in such a short amount of time. What I really like about him is that he pays close attention to how you play and can quickly spot the little things that are holding you back. His feedback is always clear and practical, and when I actually apply what he tells me, I can immediately feel the difference in my game. I’m really grateful and would absolutely recommend coach Mike! especially if you’re looking to seriously improve your game rather than just hit some balls around!Posted on Google![]()

I’ve had a great experience learning tennis with Mike. He is very patient and helped me build solid fundamentals and correct movement patterns within just my first few lessons, which I really appreciated as a beginner. What especially stands out is how much attention he pays to my progress outside of lessons as well. He’s willing to watch videos of me practicing on my own, give me feedback, and then follow up on what he noticed during our next lesson with specific drills and corrections. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone who is new to tennis and wants to build good habits from the beginning, or to players who want to identify and correct problems in their technique.Posted on Google![]()

Coach Mike has been a huge help getting my son ready for high-school tennis tryouts. He’s improved his stroke technique, learned real patterns of play, and is gaining the confidence to compete even though he’s never played matches before.Posted on Google![]()

In just 90 minutes, Mike completely transformed my forehand and helped me finally generate the topspin I’d been missing. I really appreciated his clear coaching style and attention to detail. He was patient, encouraging, and great at breaking down what I was doing wrong. His willingness to work with a beginner like me made all the difference, and I’m already seeing real improvements.Posted on Google![]()

I did a group tennis clinic with Mike. It was a lot of fun and I came away with great insights on how to improve as a doubles player, along with good advice on improving my strokes. Mike does a great job at breaking things down so that beginners can follow and take action.Posted on Google![]()

Mike did an amazing job hosting a clinic for our neighborhood tennis team. He took the time to work on our ground strokes, volleys and overheads. He was patient, kind and very knowledgable about tennis and the dynamics of doubles. Will definitely be coming back for more lessons!Posted on Google![]()

I participated in a 2-hour clinic instructed by Coach Mike. He generously shares his knowledge & expertise in meaningful ways to improve your performance. His approach is studied and methodical, but still flexible in applications and open to questions.Posted on Google![]()
